Custodial

Behind a well fed and clean church is a staff who works many hours to keep it that way.  Besides preparing the weekly Wednesday evening suppers, the post-funeral dinners, occasional Sunday night fellowships, they are always there to make sure the church is presented in its best light.

Margaret Blackburn, Norma Vermillion, and Jean Moore
Margaret, Norma and Jean cook our fellowship meals every Wednesday.  Margaret has been in the kitchen for over 20 years; Norma and Jean joined her about six years ago.   All three are long-time members of this church; Margaret for 48 years, Norma for 51 years and Jean for 63 years.  All three have taught Sunday School and still work in the nursery.  They lovingly serve as custodians helping to keep our fellowship hall, kitchen youth rooms and preschool area clean. Norma and Jean also take care of the little ones who come to our Mothers Day Out program on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Charlie and Eileen Wallingford
Charlie and Eileen serve as custodians, caring for the sanctuary and Sunday School rooms.  They also do the grocery shopping for the Wednesday meals and Charlie gets in the kitchen on Wednesdays to help out there.  Charlie was ordained a deacon in 2005. They have been members of our church for 45 years and are the parents of two adult daughters, Carla and Julia; grandparents of seven.

Charlie and Eileen are getting ready to retire!  Charlie has served the church for the past 7 1/2 years. He says he’s taken pride in his work for the church and the people.  He and Eileen have been a team working together for the past 3 1/2 years.  They have enjoyed their work keeping the church in great condition and are thankful to the Lord for the church, the people in it and for the people they have worked with during the week.
